It is 60 days to D-day; we are exactly in the middle of our exam preparation. It is natural for students to be confused about whether they are following the right study plan and whether they have allocated their time in the right way.

In the next 1-2 days all students should take 1-3 hours to introspect their plan.

Here is a step-by-step process to introspect your plan-

  • Step 1
Check if there is any delay or bonus days in your plan.

  • Step 2
For the subjects completed for the First reading, open the index to the list of chapters and see whether you can recall any concepts. Mark out all the chapters in into 3 categories based on your retention capacity. (High, Medium & Weak).

  • Step 3
In case of delay or bonus time, the above classification will help you in reallocating your future days based on this priority.

  • Step 4
See that in the completed chapters, you have tested your concepts by solving sums or questions from past RTPs, MTPs, Past Papers, or Study Material.

  • Step 5
Re-schedule your plan for the remaining days to get the maximum utilization of your time.

This process is very important at least once a month because knowing where you are, how far you have to go,and how much effort in the right direction will make or break your attempt. Just blindly studying without a set goal or plan will not get you very far. Studying smartly is more important than studying more.

Here are a few plan RECOMMENDATIONS moving forward-

• If you are giving both groups-

Your first reading should be done by now. Along with this, you should have completed the subjects’ RTP & Study Material questions.

Your first revision should be 5 days for each subject. So a total of 40 days. (5 days for each subject is not compulsory if you are weaker at some subjects based on the introspection of your plan above you can allocate 6-7 days to it and 3-4 days to subjects you have mastered.) Do not forget to

After your first revision has Round 2 of Plan introspection.

Your second revision should be the remaining 20 days.(Divide this based on your Round 2 Plan Introspection).

If you want in the case of Paper 1 you can have a joint 1st & 2nd Revision in the end.

• If you are giving 1 group-

Your first reading should be done by now or September mid-max.

Your first revision should be 6 days for each subject. So a total of 24 days. (7 days for each subject is not compulsory if you are weaker in some subjects based on the introspection of your plan above you can allocate 8-9 days to it and 5-6 days to subjects you have mastered.)

After your first revision has Round 2 of Plan introspection.

Your second revision should be in the next 12 days. (Divide this based on your Round 2 Plan Introspection).

We recommend doing a 3rd revision in which you have 1.5 days per subject. This will be a mock run on how to approach & complete the entire portion at the exact time before your exam.
